Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology to join our team at Gynaecological Cancer Centre at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospital Trust. The Gynaecological Cancer Centre is part of the Directorate of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is one of the two Centres in the Greater Midlands Cancer Network serving population of 1.8 million. The Centre currently receives tertiary referrals from 5 Hospitals (Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury/Telford, Cannock, Kidderminster, and Dudley), with plans for further expansion.
This is a new post and will complement the existing 3 Gynaecological oncologists in the centre, and the wider Gynaecology team of the Directorate of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate who will be required to provide the full range of Gynaecological Oncology expertise including diagnostic, major surgical procedures, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for patients on a cancer pathway within the existing extensive multi-disciplinaryteam.
The Directorate of Obstetrics & Gynaecology consist of 18 substantive consultants (including 3 Gynaecological oncologists) with various special interests including ambulatory gynaecology, colposcopy, fertility, maternal medicine, fetal medicine, minimally invasive surgery, urogynaecology and high risk obstetrics.
