Consultant Cardiologist Cardiac Imaging

You are invited for the post of consultant Cardiologist. This job is part of the strategic expansion of Cardiac Imaging at one of the leading NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, providing adult services to nearly 700,000 patients every year.
You will join 26 existing cardiologists at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, providing imaging support for invasive (coronary and non-coronary), electrophysiology and pacing, adult congenital, heart failure and cardiac transplant services.
You will work at QEHB with the focus on echocardiography (stress and transoesophageal) and cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging, but with the potential for involvement in cardiac CT. You will join with two existing full-time imaging cardiologists, an Imaging Fellow and will liaise with three existing cardiac radiology consultants in the running of the imaging service. You will participate in general cardiology including an on call commitment and out-patient clinics. Research activity will be encouraged.

You must be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of obtaining a CCT of the interview date. Previous experience /training in the required specialty.
