- Full Time
Surgical Care Group
We have an excellent opportunity for a full time substantive Consultant ENT Surgeon to join our modern and forward thinking Trust. The appointee should have a clinical interest which complements the needs of the department. An interest in Head & Neck, Thyroid, Parathyroid and Salivary Surgery would be welcome but not essential.
Applicants should have, or be within six months of obtaining, CCT or equivalent. As a large first wave Foundation Trust we have consistently achieved 3 star status and have featured in the list of the Top 40 hospitals retaining consecutive Government Charter Marks for excellence.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our
Department, currently consisting of six Consultants, five SAS doctors, two Specialty Registrars and seven junior doctors (core surgical trainees, GP registrars and FY2 trainees).
The Trust provides ENT services over four sites: Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital, Montagu Hospital and Retford Hospital. The department has outpatient facilities with Audiology support at all four sites, serving a population of approximately 420,000. All surgical care, In-patient and Emergency care is at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
The successful candidate would be expected to be able to work on all sites.
On call commitments are shared with Rotherham General Hospital on a 1 in 9 rota.
In return, we offer an excellent pension scheme and are perfectly positioned with major regional centres, Nottingham, Leeds and Sheffield, on our doorstep. There is access to delightful countryside in North Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Yorkshire with excellent leisure facilities and low cost housing. Robin Hood International airport is in close proximity to the Trust.
