Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in Orthopaedics (Soft Tissue Knee)
Applications are invited for the above post, available from August 2018,or as soon as possible thereafter, for a period of 6 or 12 months.
Applications with a start date of February 2019 will also be considered. The post is aimed at senior trainees (post-FRCS) who wish to gain further experience in the subspecialties of soft tissue knee.
The post will be based at the Elective Orthopaedic Unit at Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen. You will be given ample opportunity to develop your surgical and clinical skills, as well as protected time for audit and research. There are no on-call requirements for these posts, although participation in the trauma on-call rota may be available on request at nearby Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The post offer excellent opportunities for senior trainees to develop and consolidate their operating skills, as well as enhance their curriculum vitae. Opportunities for independent operating are likely to be available to suitably qualified candidates.
The post has not been approved for Training purposes by NES. However successful candidates will be expected to actively participate in our post-graduate orthopaedic training activities.
