Clinical Director-Urgent Primary Care

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, named after the founder of the NHS,
is seeking to recruit exceptional clinical leaders with professional stature to
support our innovative medical leadership in Primary Care. The Health Board
provides primary, community and secondary care services to a population of
over 600,000 in South East Wales.
As Clinical Director you will be expected to provide leadership, ensuring that
high quality patient care remains the highest priority. You will support the
development of multidisciplinary working. You will offer visible leadership
by working with the Divisional Director, Deputy Medical Director and other
members of the Directorate Management Team. You will foster the professional development of clinicians working in the service and be attentive to your own professional development. You will be a good communicator, have a keen interest in management issues and will enjoy the challenge of leading and driving forward the Health Board’s strategic agenda.
To join our team, you will already have current GMC registration, with a higher qualification in a medical specialty or General Practice and significant experience at GP or Consultant level. As part of your toolkit, you will have knowledge and understanding of wider political and social drivers that influence service delivery within the NHS and an understanding of the Modernisation Agenda.
