Medicine Registrars (PGY3+) – Sun, Surf & Sand – Gisborne, New Zealand

We’re seeking medicine registrars to be based in Gisborne in the beautiful Tairawhiti region on the East Cape of the North Island.
Gisborne is a small city (regional population 46,000 with 30,000 in the city itself), but for those who love the outdoors, you won’t get a better location in the summer.

These roles are accredited for basic medical training by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) equivalent to CMT1-3 years. Advanced trainees will also be considered. The posts are for 12 months each and would be accepted as counting towards completing a formal training programme in NZ.
You will receive excellent exposure to unselected general medicine in a challenging rural health setting with close supervision and training accompanied by state of the art CT and MRI scanning, and echosonography. You will work with an enthusiastic team of Physicians with various interests and subspecialties who love to teach.
Requirements for this role
To be considered for these roles, you will need to hold general registration or be eligible for provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. There are different pathways for NZ and we can advise you if you’re unsure.
We can assist with the medical registration and work visa applications if you are successfully appointed.
