£39,846 - £74,304 pa pro-rata (dependent on experience) +
out of hours enhancement
Part-time (4 or 6 Pas per week + 1:8 weekend ward round commitment)

Applications are invited for this Specialty Doctor post, with the option of working 4 or 6 Programmed Activities per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), plus one additional PA per week in respect of a Sat/Sun ward round 1 in 8. (i.e.12 hours every 8 weeks).

This post is an opportunity to join our highly motivated and innovative multi-disciplinary team providing high quality care, largely based in the Hospice inpatient unit. We are more than halfway through our 5 year strategy and you would join us at an exciting time in our developments.

St. Columba’s Hospice, a modern Specialist Palliative Care Unit, provides inpatient facilities for 30 patients, and has a team of Community based Palliative Care Nurse Specialists, a Day Therapies Service, an outpatient facility and an Education and Research Centre. In addition to clinical activities, the successful applicant will participate in teaching and training, and be part of the Hospice clinical governance framework.

Experience in Palliative Medicine is highly desirable but not essential, and applicants must have full registration with the General Medical Council, with a current licence to practise.
