Consultant in General Adult CMHT
Luton Mental Health and Wellbeing Service
Consultant in General Adult CMHT - Brantwood
We are a financially stable progressive mental health and community services trust with very strong clinical leadership at all levels of the organisation.
The trust has a focus on improving the experience of patients, carers and our staff. For the four years we have been developing a special quality improvement programme that provides our clinical staff, patients and carers with skills to transform our services. We believe that our staff are the organisation’s greatest asset and are the best agents for change.
In 2015 the Trust became responsible for mental health services in Luton and Bedfordshire. In 2016 it was graded as Outstanding by the CQC, as Provider of the Year by the Health Service Journal, as well as being rated the best place to work in Mental Health.
An exciting opportunity exists in the last remaining CMHT consultant post in Luton. The CMHTs have benefitted from extra investment this year and in recent years, and on going investment in the Primary Care Liaison Services. The CMHT is well staffed, and the investment enabled a better quality of care and better support from primary care liaison services.
There is service development work undertaken to create a more robust primary care liaison service, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply to be the primary care lead and also the opportunity transfer into the primary care team once it is established. Additionally, the successful candidate who is suitably qualified and experienced will be able to apply for the Associate Clinical Director (Community) role, which has an additional PA.
