Consultant Psychiatrist (0.7 WTE or opportunity for full time post)
The role will either be a Community Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist post in the newly established Norfolk and Waveney Community Perinatal Mental Health Service, or as Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist on the MBU (opening January 2019). With the two other Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrists, you will play a key role in specialist perinatal mental health service developments and therefore excellent clinical leadership and clinical skills are required for the role. There is excellent support for further perinatal training as required to take on the role. Within the perinatal service there is a culture of ongoing learning and quality improvement and we have effective relationships with other established perinatal services nationally. The core role will be Monday to Friday with General Adult and Old Age Consultant on calls
We play an active part in the wider national and regional perinatal networks, with numerous teaching opportunities available at the medical school, University of East Anglia. NSFT has an excellent research department and is involved in a number of local and national studies to support the development of research and evaluation. There is opportunity to develop a culture of research and be part of national perinatal research studies in the future, which would be supported.
