Consultant Community Paediatrician
Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust serves the highly diverse community of Hackney, London. The Trust provides comprehensive hospital and community health services.
We are seeking to appoint a Consultant to our highly regarded Community Paediatrics department and invite applications to join a committed and enthusiastic team. We have three GRID higher training posts (ST6-8) as well as two ST2-3 posts and are recognised consistently in the annual GMC survey as providers of a quality training experience for community paediatricians.
This is a substantive replacement 8PA post to join an established team of 6 Consultant Community Paediatricians. Main responsibilities include Named Dr for Safeguarding children, epilepsy shared care in the community and special school clinics.
This role also involves general neurodevelopmental provision and participation in our child protection rota. The post attracts an average of 1.5 SPA.
Excellent communication & liaison skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team are essential. There are plentiful opportunities for joint working and integration across acute and community paediatrics.
Applicants must be fully accredited in General Paediatrics and/or Community Child Health or within 6 months of their CCT date at interview.
