As a Plastic Surgeon you’ll have an exceptional job in a pretty exceptional city.

Hutt Hospital, part of Hutt Valley District Health Board is a busy 260 bed general district hospital, serving a population of around 134,000.

The plastic surgery unit provides regional services to Wairarapa, Mid Central, Hawke's Bay, Nelson/Marlborough and Whanganui DHBs. In addition the Unit provides supra-regional services in vascular anomalies and laser.

Hutt Hospital has embarked on significant campus redevelopment, with the expansion of our emergency services and additional operating theatres. We have an internationally renowned plastic and burns unit, regional rheumatology and public health services, and all our specialties have a strong focus on excellence and innovation.

The Regional Plastic Surgery service, due to retirement, have a permanent position for a plastic consultant commencing early in 2019. The sub-specialty skills currently most in demand are in breast reconstruction and management of skin cancer. This role will also have a commitment to a general plastic trauma lists and will contribute to 'see and treat' skin lesion clinics.

Applicants must be registered or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in plastic and reconstructive surgery and have a minimum of 1 year post Fellowship.
