St Mary’s Hospital, London

10PAs and 5PAs

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Consultant Dermatologists to join our team at St Mary’s Hospital. Two substantive posts are available; a 10 PA post and a 5 PA post. We welcome part time and job share applications for the 10 PA post.

If candidates are appointed on a part time or job share contract, the 10 PA job plan will be amended accordingly.

We are seeking to appoint colleagues with an interest in inflammatory skin disease, including expertise in Biologic therapy and Day Treatment therapies.  It is anticipated that the post holders will work closely with the existing consultant team to provide a wide range of dermatology services.  Applicants with other sub-speciality interests are encouraged to apply.

The posts will involve working alongside experienced consultants with sub-specialty interests, dermatology specialist nurses, clinical fellows and specialist registrars.

The successful candidates will share the day to day running of the department including the delivery of education and training to specialist registrars, clinical fellows, nurses and medical students who rotate through the department.

The post holders will also review referrals from the wards and A&E and carry out ward rounds on inpatients and will share the on call rota with consultant colleagues.  The successful applicants will be encouraged to engage with service development and should have enthusiasm for team working.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology or be within six months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).

For further information candidates are welcome to discuss the post with Dr Eleanor Mallon, Clinical Lead for Dermatology: eleanor.mallon@nhs.net and arrange to visit the department.
