Consultant Clinical Oncologist
We are seeking to recruit a Consultant Clinical Oncologist (10 PA) to join our first class Oncology team at the Kent Oncology Centre, part of Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
We are looking for dynamic candidates that have the relevant knowledge and skills to join the Head and Neck oncology team, with opportunities to provide a clinical service for Skin cancer and Lymphoma (RT only). The Head and Neck team have a weekly MDM followed by a combined surgical-oncological clinic. The service is supported by the full range of Health care professionals including Senior Radiographer led review, Chemotherapy nurse led clinics and Dietetic services. The successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to develop special interests as appropriate and will be enrolled in a formal mentoring scheme.
Join our enthusiastic team who excel in an ethos of teamwork and partnership to provide outstanding patient centred care, offering IMRT for all Head and Neck cancers where appropriate, access to on-site chemo-radiotherapy and participation in Clinical Trials.
The postholder will oversee the day to day management of patients through Outpatients, Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy pathways alongside providing advice to the Medical teams in the provision of inpatient care.
The Kent Oncology Centre supports patients and clinics in both Maidstone and Canterbury hospitals, as well as in the surrounding Trusts and has an excellent reputation locally and regionally.
The Centre is based in a beautiful part of the country with excellent schools, recreational and leisure facilities and good transport links to London and Europe.
