We seek to appoint an enthusiastic individual for the post of Clinical Governance Fellow.

This is a newly established post which provides an opportunity to develop skills in clinical governance. Successful candidates will work with the Quality and Integrated Risk teams in obstetrics and gynaecology to deliver quality improvement, staff training, adverse event review and clinical governance. If an established training number held, the successful candidate would require to submit an application for approval to the RCOG, Deanery and GMC. The post will enhance both governance and clinical experience for the successful applicant

University Hospital Crosshouse is a large general hospital, situated 35 minutes south of Glasgow. It covers a catchment population of around 240,000. This post is ideally suited to a trainee in O&G who has experience at middle grade level (ST3/4/5). The clinical component of this post, including on-call commitments, contributes to the middle grade rota and will be based in Ayrshire Maternity Unit and University Hospital Crosshouse.  There are 12 hours per week of protected time for clinical governance activities.

Full participation in the general Obstetrics and Gynaecology middle grade on-call rota at University Hospital Crosshouse is also required which attracts a Band 2B payment.
