Consultant Colorectal and General Surgery - interest in Coloproctology
To support the increasing demand across the Trust, we are inviting applications for two consultant surgeons, one is a Colorectal/General surgeon with an interest in Coloproctology. Initially based at our Ealing Hospital site, this post would have an academic link with St Mark’s Hospital and would attend the St Mark’s site one day a week. St Mark’s has a strong history of specialised patient care attracting patients from around the country and overseas. The patient base is both secondary and tertiary providing a good mix of patients with common and rare disorders. The essence of the Hospital is a blend of clinical work, research and teaching.
Service delivery would be worked at the Ealing site where the general surgical service is provided by specialists in upper gastrointestinal and colorectal and breast surgery. The successful candidate would join the Ealing general surgery on-call rota (currently 1 in 7 but with these two appointments, would move to a 1 in 8). The post holder would also contribute towards the academic department of St Mark’s and the appointee would be expected to have an academic profile and to lead on colorectal research.
