Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Gastroenterologist - Clinical Lead Nutritional Services) - Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Metro North Hospital and Health Service, Herston, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Estimated remuneration value up to $370 797.50 p.a.(excluding superannuation and leave loading), comprising salary between $204 543 - $216 865 p.a. (L25-L27), or estimated remuneration value up to $339 017.00 p.a.(excluding superannuation and leave loading), comprising salary between $171 044 - $198 678 p.a. (L18-L24) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) and Hepatitis B
Duties / Abilities: This is a newly funded role to work within the Gastroenterology (GE), Hepatology, Dietetics and Pharmacy teams to provide high level care with a major emphasis on the nutrition service. To play a lead role in setting up a comprehensive nutritional service, including parenteral and enteral nutrition. Work with the current nutrition leads to migrate from a reactive service to a proactive, academic and patient focussed service with the aim to become the peak nutrition service in the state. The role would include endoscopy and outpatients (OP) responsibilities to complement the departmental needs. The role would need to provide state wide services, predominantly via tele-health, but may include travel outside Metro North. The role would need to be flexible in providing Metro North (MN) services.
