Applications are invited for whole-time or part-time consultant
This is a replacement post for a consultant nephrologist to work within Nephrology, part of the Renal, Respiratory, Cardiac and Vascular Clinical Management Group, University Hospitals of Leicester, currently based at Leicester General Hospital. The appointee will be part of a team of 11 nephrologists providing a comprehensive service for nephrology patients.
This post will allow the appointee to develop their clinical skills and experience in a hospital with a track record of innovative service delivery, excellence in training and clinical research. The appointee will provide clinical duties including care of in-patients with kidney disease, general nephrology outpatients and on call duties. Additionally this post will act as clinical lead for the home dialysis programme and also undertake young adult clinics.
Applicants must already be on the GMC specialist register or within 6 months of the interview date and have a certificate of completion of specialist training or European Community Rights.
The successful appointee will be expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and clinical audit. They will be required to undertake management duties and work in a multidisciplinary team.
