Consultant in Chronic Pain
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a new full-time post of Consultant in Pain Medicine (10 PAs). You will join the Trust’s Chronic Pain Department, which currently consists of four Consultants, an advanced pain trainee and three clinical nurse specialists.
A wide range of disciplines work closely together to provide pain and rehabilitation services within the Trust and the appointee will be an integral member of this multidisciplinary team. This includes representation from rehabilitation specialists, rheumatologists, anaesthetists, psychiatrists, psychologists, specialist nurses and therapists.
The RNOH provides a comprehensive range of neuro-musculoskeletal healthcare. This includes the departments of chronic pain, rheumatology, rehabilitation, metabolic bone disease, and clinical neurophysiology, along with surgical units caring for patients with spinal deformities, bone and soft tissue tumours, foot and ankle problems, upper limb problems, spinal problems and peripheral nerve injuries, as well as paediatric orthopaedics and primary and revision joint surgery.
