Trainee Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Vascular and Endovascular Department at The Townsville Hospital currently undertakes over 1200 procedures each year and is seeking a Registrar/PHO to undertake a trainee fellowship in Vascular Surgery; offering the opportunity of working within a skilled team of Vascular Surgeons to develop management, leadership, teaching and clinical skills.
Common procedures of the department include lower limb revascularisation by endovascular, open and combined procedures; endovascular aneurysm repair including Branch devices, TEVAR; Carotid endarterectomy; open aortic surgery; AV fistula creation and maintenance; other vascular access procedures for oncology and renal purposes; venous surgery; and diabetic foot procedures.
Remuneration package value up to $181,027 p.a. comprising base salary range of $105,377 to $122,176 p.a. (L4-L9), Recreational Leave with 17.5% loading, employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%, plus vocational training subsidy (if applicable).
- Qualified as a medical practitioner, qualifications in speciality areas and current registration and / or eligible for registration as a paediatric specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Accepted into recognised vocational college training program relevant to the speciality.
