Christchurch Hospital is the largest tertiary, teaching and research hospital in the South Island. We are about excellence, which for the people living here means they receive care that is second to none, and for our practitioners, it means they get every opportunity to hone their skills and abilities - to really make their mark.
We have a vacancy for a full-time vocationally trained Ophthalmologist to join the Canterbury Eye Service providing tertiary services across the South Island. Sub-specialty training in glaucoma would be an advantage, but ophthalmologists with any sub-specialty training welcome to apply.
Later in 2018 will see the department moving into the new Outpatients Services building providing access to world class facilities and equipment to seriously enhance your career.
The Department is associated with the Christchurch School of Medicine, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Vocational training of ophthalmology registrars is an important component of the teaching activities of the Department.
We invite you to apply for this permanent, full time SMO position to commence immediately.
