Consultant Respiratory Physician with an interest in Lung Cancer

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our Respiratory Medicine service based at King’s College Hospital London (Denmark Hill site). The post holder will provide a clinical leadership role in the assessment, treatment and management of patients with lung cancer in addition to contributing to the General Medicine inpatient service. Applications are invited for this substantive Consultant position based at the Denmark Hill campus but working in collaboration with department colleagues at the Princess Royal University Hospital. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care and will be expected to constantly seek to improve and refine the service in line with the ambition to deliver a cross-site international standard service.
The appointee will participate in both the General medical and Respiratory on-call rota and will be responsible for the continuing care of patients admitted as emergencies, in addition to contributing to bronchoscopy and pleural lists. As a consultant in a major teaching hospital, the successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education. The development of relevant research interests will be encouraged, and opportunities will be enhanced by the Academic Health Sciences Centre.
