The Department of Population Health Sciences, part of the School of Population Health & Environmental Sciences, is seeking to appoint senior clinical or non-clinical (public health/primary care/ rehabilitation) leader in education, who is an active researcher, to a Department that has a large undergraduate and postgraduate teaching commitment in medicine, physiotherapy, and global health. 

The post holder will provide leadership of the medical and physiotherapy educational functions, and expand its growing international profile. Our strategy includes increasing the educational activity, income and innovation and commercialisation, Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) and developing relevant population health sciences and educational research. 

The post holder will have: knowledge of undergraduate and postgraduate programme/curriculum development and management within a UK HEI; proven educational management/ leadership experience within a UK HEI; and evidence of research excellence (primary care, public health, rehabilitation) with a track record of world-leading research and publications (expected level based on 3*-4* REF profile).

For non-clinical appointments, the postholder will hold a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline. 

For clinical appointments, the postholder will clinically qualified in a relevant area with a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
