As the largest county geographically, Powys has the lowest population density in Wales covering only 4.5% of the population of Wales. For those doctors who may wish to pursue specialist training via Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR), the Clinical Director would be very supportive. There are academic links with Cardiff and Wrexham and a good CPD programme in place which will be further enhanced when the services are fully under the direct management of Powys.

The post holder will be invited to join the Psychiatry on call rota, for which an additional payment will be made.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practise.

With effect from 1st April 2017 points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on AfC Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2 will be adjusted to £16,523 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage £8.45 per hour.
