Community Recovery Post with CRT North

We are a financially stable progressive mental health and community services trust with very strong clinical leadership at all levels of the organisation.

The Trust has a focus on improving the experience of patients, carers and our staff. For the last four years we have been developing a special quality improvement programme that provides our clinical staff, patients and carers with skills to transform our services. We believe that our staff are the organisation’s greatest asset and are the best agents for change.

In 2015 the Trust became responsible for mental health services in Luton and Bedfordshire. In 2016 it was graded as Outstanding by the CQC, as Provider of the Year by the Health Service Journal, as well as being rated the best place to work in Mental Health.

Newham hosts a WHO Collaborating Centre (the only one specifically for Mental Health Service Development in the world) and the successful applicant will have opportunities for academic links with the Centre and its large research group in social psychiatry. You will also be enrolled on the Trusts highly regarded Improvement Science in Action training and will be encouraged to contribute to our unique Quality Improvement programme.

Newham seeks a consultant psychiatrist to join the North Community Recovery Team. This is an established consultant post incorporating community and inpatient care for patients residing in the north-east of the borough. CRT North is a vibrant and dynamic team with an active quality improvement programme; the service runs an extensive recovery-oriented community group programme, which has received excellent feedback.
