Consultant in Medical Microbiology
Applications are invited for a part-time (5PA) Consultant in Medical Microbiology. We are looking for a dynamic infection specialist (CCT in Microbiology or Microbiology / Infectious Diseases) to join our expanding team in the Medical Microbiology Department at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).
Responsibilities will include clinical liaison, antimicrobial stewardship, and infection control and laboratory development. There are numerous opportunities to optimise delivery of Microbiology Services, including a new Cancer Hospital and the Regional Trauma Unit.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Microbiology or Microbiology / Infectious Diseases or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
The candidates must have the ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems and be able to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients. Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
