DEPARTMENTS OF PUBLIC HEALTH
In the Republic of Ireland, the Public Health Service within the Health Service Executive consists of eight regional Departments of Public Health, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, and the National Immunisation Office. The Departments of Public Health provide statutory public health functions, including expertise, advice and support to internal and a range of external partners. The Departments also provide advice to the general public and a range of local partners, organisations and services within their regional areas. Each Department of Public Health leads in the development and improvement of the core services.
Vacancies for Public Health Specialists (Medicine) exist within the following Departments of Public Health:
– HSE East (Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare)
– HSE North East (Louth, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan)
– HSE Midlands (Laois, Offaly, Longford, Westmeath)
– HSE South East (Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow)
– HSE Mid-West (Limerick, Clare, North Tipperary)
