Urgent and integrated
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious clinical leader seeking to take on a senior role in the strategic configuration and delivery of vital clinical services as well as gain invaluable Board-level experience.
We have recently restructured our clinical services into two
semi-autonomous divisions. Led by a triad of Divisional Manager, Divisional Director and Divisional Nurse, each division comprises four care groups which are responsible for providing a particular range of specialist patient services and procedures.
The Division of Urgent and integrated Care is made up of the following care groups:
- Vascular and Metabolic Care
- Integrated for Older People, Respiratory, Oncology and Cardiology
- Emergency, Urgent and Ambulatory Care
- Pharmacy, Pathology and Medical Physics Care
As Divisional Director, you’ll be responsible for management of the Division’s resources and overall performance of its services to patients.
During the course of your duties, you’ll be expected to provide proactive and visible leadership and accountability for the effective integrated clinical, operational and financial performance of the division.
Your focus will span four key areas; service/strategic development leadership, people/personal leadership, quality and collaborative leadership.
The managerial commitment to this post will equate to 5 PAs (20 hours) per week, with an additional 5 PAs for clinical work available for discussion on appointment.
Divisional Directors will be managerially accountable to the Chief Operating Officer. Where the Divisional Director role is occupied by an individual who is a member of the medical workforce, you will also be professionally accountable to the Medical Director.
