Consultant Physician with an interest in Infectious Diseases/Acute and General Medicine
Applications are invited for a Consultant Physician with an interest in Infectious Diseases/Acute and General Medicine based at University Hospital Monklands. The appointee will be working with 4 existing Infectious Diseases consultants in the Lanarkshire Regional Infectious Diseases Unit and the Department of Medicine.
The ID unit provides infection expertise to the whole of NHS Lanarkshire and is actively involved in BBV management, TB therapy, OPAT, antimicrobial stewardship and infection control activities. The post holder will have an active role in providing general ID in-patient (25 beds, including 4 negative pressure isolation cubicles) and outpatient care and will participate in the ID on-call rota. The post holder will also contribute to the General Medicine on call, currently on a 1:25 basis and also to Acute Medicine.
