This vacancy has arisen as the current postholder is moving to a different role within the organisation.

Ward 1 is a 21 bedded female acute mental health ward with an established and experienced nursing team. The postholder will be supported by 0.5 WTE Specialty Doctor and a Core Trainee (or equivalent).

The postholder will be based at The Becklin Centre with 3 other acute wards and the Crisis Assessment Service. Internal postgraduate educational meetings are also held at the base.

The Care Group has a successful Crisis Assessment Service, Crisis Assessment Unit and Intensive Community Services which ensure effective gatekeeping of the inpatient beds and rapid access to acute community alternatives to inpatient care.
