Salaried GP with a view to Partnership
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to establish yourself within a successful, innovative, friendly, well organised practice.
School Lane Surgery is situated just off the A11 in the market town of Thetford. The surgery is within easy reach of Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Cambridge.
We are a training practice with GP trainees from West Suffolk VTS and have a practice population of 16,500 patients. We work across dual sites with premises both in the town centre and on the outskirts, in a modern purpose built health centre. We are also a Partner within the Breckland Alliance.
We are a forward thinking practice with traditional values and a patient centred ap-proach to medicine. With 4 GP partners and 3 associate GPs working with very strong, nursing, administrative and managerial support teams. We hold both PMS and GMS contracts and pride ourselves on providing high quality patient care. We work closely in conjunction with our Primary Care Home partner practices as Breckland Alliance; together we care for approximately 45,000 patients. We encourage further study and specialisation and offer opportunity for involvement in research and training. We have a strong relationship with our CCG and see the development of Primary Care as key to the future of the NHS.
New Doctors to School Lane Surgery are supported through a GP mentor scheme as we are aware that the transition from trainee to salaried GP or Partner is one that can hold many challenges. We provide protected time every week for training, and clinical meetings to support Clinicians in achieving their CPD requirements. Former trainees have not only commented on the support the practice has given them, but also come back to work for us once qualified.
We offer a package including full indemnity, paid holiday, sickness and study leave, with hours to suit. In return we are looking for a dynamic and caring GP who is motivated to develop a leadership role within a friendly, patient focused team.
