The Queen’s Medical Centre campus is part of Nottingham University Hospitals Trust. It is one of the largest acute hospitals in Europe with an international reputation for combining high quality teaching, research and patient care. Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Neurosurgeon with a specialist interest in Functional and Skull Base Neurosurgery.

The appointee, together with consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision of adult neurosurgical services to the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

This is a new post to primarily support functional neurosurgery service at Nottingham University Hospital. The functional neurosurgery service supports implantation and maintenance of neurostimulators along surgical management of chronic pain, neuralgias, epilepsy surgeries and aspects of Neurooncolgy. The post holder will be expected to provide a comprehensive spinal neuromodulation service and work in collaboration with anaesthetic pain consultants where necessary. This would be to complement current specialisation in the department.

There will be opportunity to join Nottingham University and undergraduate teaching.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
