Consultant (Plastic/OMFS/ENT Surgeon with subspecialty interest in Cleft Surgery
Applications are invited for a Consultant Surgeon with a Sub -specialist interest in Cleft Surgery based on the Queen Elizabeth University Hospitals Campus (The Royal Hospital for Children / Institute of Neurological Science). This is an appointment primarily to the National Cleft Surgical Service for Scotland. As a result of the Cleft Service Review – Scotland (2013/15) there will be a requirement to work in appropriate MDT clinics in health boards across Scotland.
This post will contribute to the existing national surgical cleft team and will provide active involvement in the ongoing development of this nationally designated surgical service. You would be expected to participate in the appropriate MDT’s and contribute to an on call rota. The post is open to individuals from Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and ENT Surgery. Candidates will have completed the required sub-specialty training and qualifications in cleft surgery. Ability for close inter-speciality liaison is essential for an effective service. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time or those wishing to job-share.
