General Surgery Consultant with a special interest in Hepatopancreatobiliary
Applications are invited for the above substantive post, which has arisen within one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals. The post is based at Northern General Hospital and will be supporting the General Surgery Directorate.
The successful appointee will be part of a team of five Consultants providing a HPB service to Sheffield. We are seeking candidates who will contribute to the provision of the HPB and General Surgery workload and to the care of patients in a tertiary specialist HPB unit.
The post holder will be expected to perform complex HPB procedures including all types of liver and pancreatic resection and complex biliary procedures. The unit performs laparoscopic HPB surgery and laparoscopic experience in biliary surgery is essential.
