Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with interest in Chronic Pain
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Chronic Pain post in Aberdeen (7 PA’s). This locum post is for a period of 3 months with potential for extension.
Located in the North East of Scotland, Aberdeen is an affluent, friendly and vibrant city, combining all the amenities of a large city with quick, easy access to its beautiful surrounding countryside and coastline.
The post consists of dedicated sessions in Chronic Pain with a mix of outpatient clinics and interventional pain theatres. Aberdeen has a large Anaesthetic department which covers a comprehensive range of clinical services, and, as a teaching hospital department there is strong involvement in a wide range of educational activities. The Chronic Pain services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of Consultant Anaesthetists, Consultant Psychiatrist, Pain Nurses, Physiotherapist and Psychologist, with inter-disciplinary input from various other specialties. The delivered services range from Pain Management program to Neuromodulation. There are also excellent opportunities for an enthusiastic appointee to develop interests in a wide choice of areas.
The post does not involve out of hours on call commitments.
