Trust SHO Training Rotations in Acute & Intensive Care Medicine
The Trust is recruiting to Trust Trainee rotations including emergency medicine, acute medicine, medical specialties (including infectious diseases, respiratory, gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology, haematology, care the elderly and oncology) and intensive care. Each rotation will be 12 months duration and consist of 2-4 month blocks.
While not London Deanery funded Core Medical Training rotations, these will all be training posts with full educational and clinical supervision. All trainees will be enrolled onto an ePortfolio and be entitled to study leave with a study leave budget made available for courses.
The Trust’s MRCP(UK) PACES teaching and ‘procedures course’ will be available to all trainees. Trainees will have the opportunity to achieve sign off for Alternative Certificate for Foundation Competence (for FY2) or Alternative Certificate of Core Competence (for CMT) depending on their stage of training and performance. The available rotations are listed in the job description. Successful applicants will be ranked and matched to their preferred rotations accordingly.

- GMC registration
- Previous medical experience in the UK of at least 6 months
- At least one year’s medical experience at F1 level or above
- Sound general medical knowledge
- Sound communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
- Keen to learn and train in busy Major Acute Hospital
