The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint two permanent Consultants in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Applicants with an interest in Gynae Oncology, Uorogynae and High Risk Pregnancy to complement current intrust in the department will be highly appreciated.
The positions provide an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified specialist to actively contribute to a modern Obstetric & Gynaecological and Gynaecological service within this highly regarded Trust with its wide range of acute and community services, which will afford high professional visibility.
Candidates must have CCT or be within six months of completion of training or be on, or eligible for, the Specialist Register. It is essential that candidates have a firm commitment to providing an excellent service. A background in management of high risk pregnancy or Urogynaecology is desirable. Applicants who for personal reasons are unable to work full time are still invited to apply.
The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH) is forward looking and is highly regarded in the region with an ongoing programme of development in many areas of its services. The successful candidates will join a team of 7 consultants, working a full range of obstetric and gynaecology services in East Norfolk.
James Paget University Hospital and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital together formed the East Norfolk/Waveney Cancer Network and major clinical teaching side for the medical school based at the University Of East Anglia. There will be opportunities for an interested candidate to become involved in the undergraduate programme.
The James Paget University Hospital is a research active trust, ranked 11/49 of medium sized acute hospitals in the Guardian Research League tables in terms of recruitment in 2013. Participation in research is actively encouraged and supported and we are particularly interested in recruiting clinicians with experience of applying for research grants.
