About the Department…

The current team at Pilgrim Hospital run a very successful Diabetes and Endocrinology service and have secured funding for a 4th Consultant to expand this further. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to help develop the service further across South Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.

About the Role….

The post holder will be expected to run both Diabetes and Endocrinology clinics and will be leading our new multidisciplinary foot clinic at Skegness. They will work alongside our Obstetric colleagues in the management of antenatal diabetes and with the Paediatric team in the care of young people with diabetes. Inpatients, including GIM are looked after on a 2 weeks on the ward and 6 weeks off the ward model.

What we’re looking for…..

Essential requirements for this post include MRCP (UK) or equivalent, entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), CESR or European Community Rights. Experience of undergraduate/postgraduate teaching, the ability to work in a team and an active and innovative interest in developing Diabetes and Endocrine services.
