Consultant Community Paediatrician
We are Sirona care & health, a Community Interest Company committed to providing local communities with a range of high quality specialist health and social care services across South Gloucestershire, parts of Bristol and Bath and North East Somerset. For us, it’s about the personal approach; we take pride in what we do and deliver the high standard of care that we’d expect for ourselves and our families.
In return we offer an excellent range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement, paid enhancements for bank holiday/night working (where applicable), a contributory pension scheme (including, for some roles, the NHS pension scheme), a planned induction program, extensive learning and development opportunities, health and wellbeing programmes, flexible working patterns, staff excellence awards, childcare vouchers, in-house physiotherapy support and more!
We’re looking for one full-time Consultant Community Paediatrician with an interest in Neurodisability and two part-time Consultant Community Paediatricians with interests that complement the service, to join our team of 18 Consultants and 6 specialty doctors in the Bristol area. You will be part of a large, diverse and highly regarded Community Paediatric service which covers Bristol and South Gloucestershire (most recent CQC ratings outstanding and good).
We have excellent links with our multiprofessional and multiagency colleagues and there are exciting prospects for the candidate to help develop our services for children with complex difficulties in new and innovative ways. We have strong links with the University of Bristol and with colleagues at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
The posts include locality community paediatric services and participation in the safeguarding rota, and so offer varied and interesting clinical posts. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague who can bring skills which complement those in the rest of the team.
You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate training, for which we repeatedly receive excellent feedback.
South Gloucestershire and Bristol are mixed urban and rural areas, with many cultural and leisure facilities, and so offer a wide range of lifestyle opportunities for candidates.
