Part time Consultant (5 sessions) in Eating Disorder Outreach Service to cover South, Mid and West Wales. Start date: immediate.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who has an interest and experience in Eating Disorders, to join a multi-disciplinary Eating Disorder Outreach Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant interested in service development.
The team was established in 2014, as a result of new investment from the Welsh Government, with a view to improve the experience of children and young people who have an Eating Disorder, and to increase the skills and knowledge of the wider CAMHS workforce who work with these patients.
There has been a recent modest expansion of the team with a view to working alongside colleagues in Adult Mental Health to improve the care of young people who are transitioning from CAMHS into Adult Mental Health Services.
The post holder will be required to provide clinical and professional leadership within the post, and to contribute to service improvements across Wales. The successful candidate will be encouraged to take an active part in teaching and audit as part of this role.

With effect from 1st April 2017 points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on AfC Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2 will be adjusted to £16,523 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage £8.45 per hour.
