Associate Clinical Director and Consultant Community Paediatricians

Associate Clinical Director for Community Child Health (1 post)
The Associate Clinical Director (ACD) for Community Child Health is a key strategic role and the postholder will be expected to lead the consultant team in overseeing the provision of Community Child Health Services across the borough of Newham. Time in the job plan will be dedicated to these strategic leadership and management roles. Other clinical duties will include triage and supervision for safeguarding and outpatient clinics for neurodisability and child development, determined by the applicants experience and interests.
Consultant Community Paediatricians (2 posts)
These two Consultant posts are for Community Paediatricians and postholders will be expected to provide consultant input into the child development and neurodisability services, with the opportunity to develop a specialist interest in Adoption and Fostering and/or Children and Young People In Care, depending on experience and interest. These posts would suit candidates with a strong track record in complex neurodisability and/or ASD. Other clinical duties will include triage and supervision for safeguarding and outpatient clinics for neurodisability and child development, determined by the applicants experience and interests.
These roles do not include on-call duties in Acute Paediatrics, although close working with colleagues in Hospital Paediatrics would be encouraged.
Applications will be welcomed from candidates included on or eligible for the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining CCT in Paediatrics.
