Due to the retirement of two of our colleagues an exciting opportunity has arisen for two full-time Consultant Haematologists to join our team of four Consultants at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The department seeks to provide a dynamic, friendly and clinically-led service across both of our hospitals, Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Maidstone Hospital. We provide day care facilities, out-patient clinics and laboratory support on both sites. Our level 2B inpatient unit, Lord North, is based at Maidstone Hospital with an adjacent ambulatory unit. Our team is supported by five Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Trials Specialist Nurse, two Specialist Registrars, three CMTs, one FY2, one speciality doctor and two Transfusion Practitioners.

The successful candidates will be encouraged to develop a chosen specialist interest to complement those of the existing team and to take on a leadership role within the department.

The Trust is based in a beautiful part of the country with excellent schools, recreational and leisure facilities and good transport links to London and Europe.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview.
