Consultant Radiologist with expertise in Thoracic Radiology
A full time NHS Consultant Radiologist is required with expertise in thoracic radiology for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This post is needed to meet the requirements of the expanding service in Radiology as a whole.
The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with existing colleagues, to maintain and enhance a comprehensive thoracic radiology service, support the growth of the thoracic radiology service and participate in the diagnostic body on call rota. The appointee will also be part of a wider team of 46 consultant radiologists, providing sub-specialty and general radiological services across the Trust.
The post will have a commitment to support a range of services, including CT, MRI, plain film reporting, ultrasound, radiology clinics, multi disciplinary team meetings and clinico-radiological meetings.
The post holder will be expected to participate in under-graduate and post-graduate training.
Candidates must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or an equivalent qualification, fully registered with the GMC, and must either be on the GMC Specialist Register, or within 6 months of anticipated receipt of a CCT at the time of interview.
An appropriate period of interventional training and experience with advanced interventional and diagnostic techniques is desirable, as is a track record in research.
The job would be suitable for newly qualified or established consultants. Internal mentoring can be arranged for complex procedures. There is capacity to develop personal areas of interest along with the needs of the department and Trust.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
