Paediatric Clinical Research Fellow
Oxford Vaccine Group, Churchill Hospital - University of Oxford
This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to gain a thorough experience in clinical research by delivering a range of studies, primarily relating to Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
The Oxford Vaccine Group (OVG) undertakes infection related research and has strong links to Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Research Fellow would play an important role in the delivery of two international collaborative studies with the opportunity to work alongside the clinical delivery team in the Emergency Department at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Additionally the role will support the laboratory work aimed at identifying biomarkers of RSV infection and is expected to lead to high quality publications.
Although the focus for this post is primarily on RSV related studies, Research Fellows are involved in delivering and running all paediatric studies within OVG including the development or review of study protocols and essential documents needed in the preparation and submission of ethics and grant applications.
Candidates will be required to have full General Medical Council registration and have MRCPCH or equivalent.
The role is fixed-term for 12 months in the first instance, full time and based in the Oxford Vaccine Group at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford.
