LEAD

The LUMC is a centre for medical innovation that aims to improve patient care through leading international research. So as to also provide our patients with a safe and friendly environment, we need doctors, medical care specialists, support staff and academic researchers.

As a result of globalisation, social and scientific developments, new questions have arisen with regard to population health. This is the main reason for setting up our new societal outreach profile Population Health.

The Executive Board of Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC)
is searching for a full professor in Population Health

The chair will be established in the department of Public Health and Primary
Care (PHPC) and in the LUMC Campus The Hague (LCDH), which is focusing on Population Health Management with a portfolio of educational and scientific programmes.

You will define and ensure the consistency within the research programmes, guide the acquisition of research grants and you will play a role in the
supervision of PhD students and Bachelor and Master students. You will be
part of the team of professors cooperating within the department of PHPC and the LCDH and will work in close collaboration with the departments of Clinical Epidemiology and Biomedical Data Science. Preferably, you are an MD PhD or
an MSc MPH licensed physician with SMBWO or a similar accreditation as population epidemiologist.

Detailed descriptions of the≈position can be found on
www.lumc.nl/vacancies

Informal inquiries may be addressed to Prof. Mattijs Numans, head of the department of PHPC and the LUMC Campus The Hague, telephone:
+31 (0)71 526 84 46 or Prof. Frits Rosendaal, head of the department of Clinical Epidemiology and chairman of the Search Committee, telephone:
