31 March 2020.
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) Regional Occupational Health Team
are seeking a highly motivated Civilian Medical Practitioner who will
be responsible for delivering a clinical service to patients within our
Population at Risk.
The role will involve working within a multi-disciplinary team alongside
OH Nurses, Clinical Facilitators and Occupational Therapists. As our successful candidate, you should be an efficient and supportive asset to the team.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the Regional Occupational Medicine (OM) Consultant in providing a Regional Occupational Health service specifically to all Service Personnel. This will be achieved by providing accurate, timely and appropriate Occupational Health advice to medical centres and units within the Region as well as assisting with Quality Improvement Activity within the Occupational Health (OH) remit as directed by the Regional OH policy. You will assist the OM Consultant and Regional Occupational Health Advisor (ROHA) in providing training to medical centres throughout the region on contemporary Occupational Health issues.
The post holder will assist the OM Consultant in the medical boarding
process and make recommendations regarding employment. They will
be expected to act as lead clinician and board member, producing post
board paperwork and medical reports. This means being able to provide
safe and appropriate medical advice, whilst being expected to carry out
associated administrative tasks in accordance with MOD policy and
General Medical Council standards.
