Senior Lecturer or Reader in Digital Health (clinical/non-clinical) & Director of Global Digital Health Unit

Salary: £58,870 p.a. (minimum starting salary for non-clinical applicants) and clinical consultant scale for medical applicants - Salary depending on seniority: £76,761 – £103,490 p.a. plus London Allowance £2,162 

(Appointment level will depend upon qualifications and experience)

Would you like to join our vibrant and successful Department of Primary Care and Public Health within the School of Public Health, at Imperial College London which promotes interdisciplinary research into digital health at the intersection with primary care, public health and social aspects of health and health interventions, as well as providing a substantial training and teaching programme? If so, then this is a unique and challenging opportunity for you.

The Department’s Global Digital Health Unit has its main research focused on digital technologies for health and healthcare. It is at the forefront of the introduction and implementation of IT innovation into health care systems.

As an outstanding academic, you will have a well-attested record of research of national and international stature, as well as the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence.

You will play a leading role in the development of research and teaching in Digital Health, both within the Department as well as across the School, the Faculty and the College.

To excel in this role you must have a further higher degree, PhD or equivalent research experience (for clinicians, clinical qualification would be required as well); strong track record of publications, high level of analytical
capability and experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Proven skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues; ensuring the effective performance and
development of a leading research department are essential for succeeding in this role.

This is a full time, open ended post, based at the Charing Cross Hospital Campus, in Hammersmith, London.
