The CAMH Service is located 15 miles outside the Capital City of Cardiff, a cosmopolitan and vibrant city, host to sporting, recreational and cultural events. There are excellent transport links and easy access of the M4 motorway. There are many areas of outstanding beauty nearby, to the north the Brecon Beacons National Park, and to the south the rolling countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan and the South Wales Heritage Coast. There is an excellent choice of housing and schools within easy travelling times to all relevant sites.
An opportunity has arisen for a part time CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist working in the Cwm Taf University Health Board CAMHS Provider Network, in the Cwm Taf Neurodevelopmental Team. This has been an exciting time for CAMHS within Wales with the injection of new Welsh Government funding for the development of specific services including this team that caters for the needs of children and young people with ADHD, ASD and Tourette’s Syndrome. The Neurodevelopmental Team is a newly formed multidisciplinary team that works closely with CAMHS and Child Health.
Total of 4 Programmed Activities: Specialist CAMHS community team Job Planning/review process: Annually as recommended by GMC and joint medical colleges.
The Service may be relocating to another site within the Cwm Taf UHB area in the near future.
