  • High earning potential

The Role

A great opportunity for anyone who fancies trying out GP / A&E work in Australia but doesn't want to work in a rural location. This job will give you the best of both worlds, work in a location close to a major city without losing your A&E skills.

You'll be doing a split role of GP and Acute Care, covering 4 x 10 hour shifts over the week, 2–3 of these shifts would be within the acute care unit.

Working here will allow you to live either in the fantastic state capital of Brisbane City or opt for a more laidback lifestyle by relocating to the wonderful Sunshine Coast, where you could start your day with a run on the beach or a surf!

This is a modern, predominantly bulk-billing clinic which also provides a unique acute care service and receives patients from the QLD ambulance service through pre-existing triage systems and hospital programs. The GP Emergency Doctor position suits a GP who has previous experience and an interest in Emergency Medicine.

There is a well-equipped emergency area including Acute Care Bays with full resuscitation and monitoring facilities (including invasive blood pressure monitoring) they have an extensive range of emergency equipment and pharmaceuticals. You’ll be supported by a team of emergency-trained Registered Nurses.

The medical centre itself is a large multi-disciplinary clinic, currently with 7 GPs and more to be recruited, full team of nursing and administration staff, also on-site Radiology, Xray, Pathology, Pharmacy, Courtyard Café.

  • Minimum 12-month contract
  • 40 hours per week – 4 x 10 hour shifts
  • 65% billings

To be considered for this position you must have FRACGP / MRCGP ./MICGP or equivalent.

What Head Medical can do for you

Arranging a position overseas is very exciting, but we know it can also be a complex and time-consuming process. We’re specialists in international medical recruitment and have helped many doctors relocate since we first started out in 2008 (you can read what people have said about working with us on our testimonials page). We know it’s important to balance career opportunities with lifestyle, so we’ll talk through your plans and get to know you to make sure we find the right role in the right location.

Once we have secured a job for you, we’ll manage the medical registration and visa application processes, and support you (and any family members) with the relocation itself.
