Geoffrey E. Duveen Clinical Research Training Fellow in Otology
Full Time 

The appointment will be on UCL Grade Clinical Training Fellow - Speciality Training Registrar. The salary range will be £35,509 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The UCL Ear Institute will host a research fellow in Otology and its allied sciences under the supervision of Shakeel Saeed, Professor of Otology and Neuro-Otology. This scheme is aimed at supporting a promising Specialist Registrar or Core Surgical Trainee in Otolaryngolog to undertake full time research towards a Doctorate degree in Otology or disorders of hearing. 

The award is for 3 years, renewable annually on satisfactory annual progress. The recipient will have the opportunity to undertake paid clinical work commensurate to his or her level of experience in order to maintain clinical skills. 

You will be a GMC registered clinician and a Core Surgical Trainee or Specialist Registrar with a National Training Number with at least 3 years to completion of CCT. The successful candidate will be resourceful and able to act on own initiative, having good inter-personal skills with an ability to work co-operatively in a multidisciplinary setting. You will also have an interest in and an enthusiasm for biomedical research and Otology. You will have a long term career aim to pursue research. 

The fellowship is available as of September 2018 and candidates are advised to start negotiating their OOPR at the point of application.
