LAT/LAS in General Surgery
Applications are invited for LAT/LAS in general including vascular surgery for 6 months commencing 9th April 2018. This post will provide high quality exposure to a wide range of elective and emergency surgical practice. All clinical activities will be undertaken at Deanery approved locations, in addition there will be opportunities for audit and research projects.
The surgical development needs for any successful candidate will be assessed and where possible addressed. The appointee will be expected to perform at a level equivalent to that of a ST3 or above.
The post may be based in either Ninewells Hospital or Perth Royal Infirmary and will be aligned to a subspecialty (upper GI, hepatobiliary, colorectal, breast or vascular surgery depending on individual and service requirements). The rota will involve on-call duties for general including vascular surgery. An educational programme for the fellow will be established tailored to their requirements. Personal development plan and educational agreements will be documented. An assigned educational supervisor will be nominated.
